Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Qone iOS application, its TestFlight beta, and the Qone website. Because Qone is still in beta, features and data practices may evolve. We will update this page when material changes are made.

Information we collect

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, Qone may process:

  • Account information: your display name, username, profile photo, sign-in details, and account identifiers.
  • Location information: precise or approximate device location while you use location-based features, together with the privacy mode you select.
  • Social information: friend connections, follows, invitations, blocks, and other interactions.
  • Event and user content: events, RSVPs, vibe ratings, messages, photos, reports, and other content you choose to submit.
  • Device and diagnostics: device type, operating system, app version, crash information, performance data, and basic security logs.
  • Beta feedback: comments, screenshots, crash reports, or other feedback submitted through TestFlight or directly to Qone.

Qone requests access only when a feature needs it. You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings, though some features may then be unavailable.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Qone, including to:

  • show friends, events, routes, and live activity on the map;
  • apply your selected location and visibility settings;
  • support event participation, convoy navigation, messaging, and safety features;
  • operate accounts, prevent abuse, investigate reports, and protect users;
  • diagnose crashes, measure reliability, and improve the beta experience;
  • communicate important service, privacy, or security updates.

Your location controls

Qone is designed to give you control over how your location appears to other users. Available modes may include:

Live

Shares your current location with the audience shown in the app.

Blurred

Shows an approximate area instead of your exact position.

Frozen

Keeps your visible pin at a selected or previous location.

Invisible

Removes your visible location from the social map.

Visibility modes affect what other users see. Qone may still process limited location information when necessary to provide a requested location feature, maintain safety, or comply with your device permissions and settings.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be visible to other Qone users according to the feature you use, the audience you select, and your privacy settings. For example, friends may see your profile, selected location mode, event attendance, or content you post.

Qone may use trusted service providers for hosting, authentication, maps, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, storage, moderation, and customer support. They may process information only to perform services for Qone and are expected to protect it consistently with this policy.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, or defend the rights and safety of Qone and others. If Qone is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate protections.

Retention and deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide Qone, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and improve the service. Retention periods vary by data type and purpose. Some safety, fraud-prevention, backup, or legally required records may remain for a limited period after deletion.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting hello@qone.app. We may need to verify that the request belongs to you before completing it. If account deletion is offered inside the app, you can also begin the process there.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can also:

  • change location visibility inside Qone;
  • change location, photo, notification, and other permissions in iOS Settings;
  • remove submitted content where the app provides that option;
  • unfollow, block, or report other users;
  • contact us with a privacy request.

Security, safety, and children

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, especially during beta testing, so please use Qone thoughtfully and avoid posting information you do not want others to see.

Qone is not intended for children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Qone develops. The “Last updated” date will change when revisions are published. If a change materially affects how personal information is used, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
